The Rosbot is an ROS robot that is equally at home in the hands of an inexperienced novice or a robotics developer with significant experience and expertise. Key to the success of the Rosbot is the degree of flexibility that it affords as within the range, key components and features can be tailored to your particular needs and requirements, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
The Rosbot comes with ROS 1 as standard but this can easily be upgraded to ROS 2 by either replacing ROS 1 on the bundled SD card or simply downloading ROS 2 on to a new SD card. ROS is an open-source software platform, and thus free to use, which is appropriate for developers, researchers and prototyping as well as for full deployment. Furthermore, the built in LiDAR and depth camera can be accessorised to facilitate vSLAM, RTAB mapping and multi point navigation amongst other useful commercial applications.
The Rosbot is well built and sturdy and larger versions can comfortably handle heavy payloads without undue stress and with a built-in battery charger and good battery life the Rosbot is a high performing robot, whilst also extremely affordable.
At Roboworks we have developed a large range of robots, including the Rosbot family, that are ideal education robots, lending themselves to further development and experimentation ultimately leading to a unique robot.
As robotics takes an ever firmer foothold in commercial and educational facilities, Roboworks strives to be at the forefront of ongoing technological advances bringing robotic solutions to you.
